Fulfillment and well being are attainable and we have choices within our own personal journey. I come from a mindset that this is an open process of inquiry and partnership. I see my clients as whole and capable seekers.
In coaching we will work to develop clarity around your intentions, your purpose. Through the process of coaching, your intrinsic motivations emerge to empower your own call to action.
My six month program begins here. This is a 3 hour session during which we will partner to formulate a vision of your goals. I will guide you through a process that includes lively conversational inquiries with tools that will assist us both in developing clarity around your core values and intrinsic motivations.
Reflecting on what we learn from the kickoff session, we will prioritize areas and formulate action plans around your goals.
During this time, I will partner with you to create your action steps around the goals you identified. We will sort through challenges and utilize the insights you gain from your experiences as you proceed with your action steps. You alone will be accountable to your action steps and may choose new actions as you gain additional knowledge through the process. We will meet every two weeks.
This is a summation session where we will check in with your accomplishments and support your endeavors going forward.
Many of us looked forward to completing residency and having a better work schedule. Often new physicians encounter new challenges after residency that they feel unprepared for such as the leadership role that is inherent as a physician, or workload management. There may be communication challenges with staff or with administration. Partnering with a coach in this phase will help you build skills in creating work satisfaction and work-life balance as your career grows.
This is often a time when many physicians have full competency in their field but may want to experience more fulfillment in their lives. There may be drawn to explore new opportunities. They often seek to improve excessive burden around workflow, time-energy drains, or communication difficulties. Clarity at this time can bring into focus choices around career expansion or transition, personal health goals, work life balance, and improved communication
In the years prior to retirement, some physicians will want to build a unique model of their transition. Physicians will seek out how they can continue to use their highly valued accumulation of knowledge, experience and leadership skills. Clarity gained through coaching will assist in shaping your career transition and in the intentional approach to your legacy.
When a physician encounters new opportunities, challenges or changes in work or in life, this can be a compelling time to reflect and seek clarity around decisions and processes. This may include a personal life journey apart from work such as spiritual change, a health change, new family additions or caring for elderly family. This may be a time to rebalance and reimagine multiple life themes.
